Training Overview
Brussels Academy in cooperation with Vocal Europe , – a Brussels based Think Tank, has been training professionals via structured trainings and mentorship programs to empower them with competences that would facilitate their access to the job market. In that respect, a series of professional trainings on how to access European Programmes is being offered in cooperation with Brussels Academy.
Participating in an EU call for proposals requires a good knowledge of the rules and procedures for setting up and submitting a successful proposal. However, reading the documentation an trying to put it in practice is not necessarily a straightforward exercise.
This advanced training programme aims at substantially increasing and enhancing, for those who already have a basic knowledge of the topics, the understanding of the EU Horizon Europe Program, the main EU Funding Instrument supporting Research and Innovation project, thus allowing the participants to increase the quality of their project proposals and to increase their chance for success in applying for and managing of EU projects.
At the end of the training, the Advanced Project Proposal Writers or Project Managers will be able to:
- Better understand how the EU Horizon Europe Programme function and to select the most appropriate calls for proposals
- Be familiar with the tips and tricks needed for successfully applying to Horizon Europe calls for proposals
- Be better prepared to work in the frame of funded projects of EU calls
- Implement and monitor project activities, budget, time schedules and work packages
- The training will aim at increasing the participants’ skills chances to successfully appling for the following positions:
- Project Officer
- Project Assistant
- Junior Project Manager
- Project administrator
- Project proposal writer
Target Audience
The training is designed for members of universities, research institutes, private companies, SMEs and startups, NGOs, students and individuals who already have some experience in applying for EU projects, and are interested in deepening their expertise on writing project proposals.
In fact a prerequisite for applying to this advanced training is to be familiar with such concepts as the Participant Portal, a list of workpackages, deliverables, milestones and budgetary issues to name just a few.
This training will be focused on the biggest EU programme for research and innovation (Horizon Europe), but the principles that will be presented can be useful for application for any other open calls for EU competitive grants and other tenders/funders.

Certificate
